Ginny Yurich is the founder and CEO of 1000 Hours Outside, a global movement, media company and lifestyle brand meant to bring back balance between virtual life and real life. She is a thought-leader in the world of parenting, digital family wellness, and the benefits of nature-based play for children. She also has an extensive background in entrepreneurship and building global communities centered around a shared set of values and purpose.

With over one million social media followers, Ginny has built the The 1000 Hours Outside movement and brand that now spans the globe, with millions of families committing to restore balance with technology and reconnect with one another.

She is the host and producer of the extremely popular The 1000 Hours Outside Podcast, a top ranked Parenting as well as Kids & Family show with over 8 million downloads since late 2021. She is a keynote public speaker, zinnia enthusiast and published author. Her latest best-selling book, ‘Until The Streetlights Come On’, (Baker Books) was released in November 2023.

Holding a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Michigan, Ginny and her husband, Josh, have been married for over 21 years and are lifelong Michiganders. They love raising their five children in “The Great Lakes State.”
